CAIRNS DAY TWO! WHITE WATER RAFTING!

Day Two! Me and Matty wake up at six thirty and get ready for one of the best days of our lives. We had a two hour bus trip through tropical north Queensland l to a small town south of cairns called Tully. Tully is quite a depressing town. The cyclone ripped all the houses and local stores apart. It has one school, where the children supposedly learn to count to one million by age 12. then they are sent out to the sugar cane farms to work. Everyone in Tully is also related.. apparently. I didn't get any photo's of Tully because i wasn't to keen on taking my camera down the rapids, or leaving it on the bus. We finally reached the rapids and were put in a group of six with a german couple and two other ladies that were pretty rad! The river was amazing, i highly recommend doing the tour we did. Mostly grade 1-4. We were so well looked after and it was super safe as dangerous as it may look. The mountain sides, waterfalls and scenery were also quite spectacular until we neered tully and saw the effects of cyclone Yatzi. Crocodiles had also been spotted in parts of the river we passed through, but they didnt eat me. Thankfully. Caio

CAIRNS DAY 3 - Kotara & Skyrail!

Day three we travelled to some railway that took us up the mountains. The view was amazing, the train was supercool and really vintage. They built the railway 100 years ago and over 9 people died creating it, crazy stuff. We reached a small town called Kotara where we waited before we boarded the "skyrail". The town was pretty much filled with tourists, gypsy markets and places that sold those surfy bracelets. Dad found some little alley way that led to an opshop, fair stoked, got some denim shirts but they aren't that good haha, nothing major. It eventually came time that we board the skyrail, One of the most spectacular things i have ever done. Picture yourself hovering 40 feet above a rainforest that expands as far as the eye can see in all directions. You can see birds nests, animals, rivers and if you are lucky you might see a crocodile. We then reached the end and waited for a bus for an hour and a half, it was horrible, everything else was perfect, all in all a good day!

CAIRNS HOLIDAY! DAY 1

Cairns day 0, 5.5 Hour car trip to the airport Formula1. It was a great car trip.... i cant really remember it. Next morning.. the official day 1 we woke up super early, 6.30 and quickly got our stuff together for a quick departure. The first picture is an early morning mooning of Sydneys traffic, hopefully i made someones day haha. We got on the plane, and i got the window side... it was good. We arrived in Cairns 2.5 hours later and wow, a heatwave shook us, i had the most chronic ear ache and we headed to a car rental place and eventually headed to our accommodation which was much better than i expected. After arriving we went exploring for the afternoon. They have this rad place in Cairns called the Esplanade right on the water where they have activities and a massive swimming pool because there are crocodiles in the waters haha. They also had THE BEST SKATEPARK I HAVE EVER SEEN! but i forgot my skateboard, it was kinda too hot to skate anyway. There is photo of a tree towards the bottom, it was covered in popped bike tubes, shoes and scooter kids brains! Well... not the last one, but we can all dream, there were at least twenty pairs of shoes haha. Matt also drank his first beer and hated it! however he got progressively better throughout the trip. Man up Bruvvvv.

Vandals Gone Vagabond, Recording part 1 & The Pole Jam of Doom!

So i get back from Newcastle and a little bored by the morning decide to make myself some necklace out of some materials around the house and a nice piece of sliced agate i found in my drawer. SO with my new necklace i hit up the skatepark for a good old shredding with Clayton and bam! the latest addition to the skatepark...... THE POLE JAM OF DOOOOOM! Got a sneaky 5-0 on it so i was pretty stoked, it is a sketchy one, Got chips and went for a swim. Some hot as lady, probably in her laste twenty's was walking back to her car picking out a wedgie and caught all of us looking at us, She yelled out something like "Stop looking at us you ***wits".... Learn to take a compliment lady. We were getting heavy greasies from their boyfriends, all in all worth it. Then finished the day with a good old jam. Next day after a 7.30 wake up Vandals got out to the recording studio and set up for a solid day of recording. We ended up getting two tracks on the verge of completion and another two underway. we learnt that i cant use a ticker machine thing and recording is so much different to playing in the garage! Big thankyou to Phil! Enjoy.

Melbourne Part 2

So Melbourne first night i forgot to add, i have never been to this place before asked for a schooner of new...... The girl was oblivious to a schooner and new haha. So i ordered a pint of ale and it was good. That night we explored which was rad, went to some really cool garden , almost got ran over. Talked to some friendly people and met some of Maddi's long lost friends. I felt quite a tension between the two, i mean three... so in my drunken state became best friends with everybody, it was quite something, they seemed to like me. Day two, went into some music store that didn't sell drumkits... I literally laughed in the guys face, poor dude, he just works there i guess. Went into Melbourne city central after being abandoned by my associate and went looking in stores and stuff. found some really cool shit, but the price tags were sooooo heavy, so after chatting to some of the hottest shop assistants i have ever seen, i bailed to the food court and got the raddest feed. A bowl of pasta, massive slice of pizza and the most refreshing coke all for $11! the guy that served me was also a legend, he was definitely the boss. However he only charged me $1.10 big mistake bud, luckily you made some good food that i was willing to pay the extra dime for. So night eventually came and we headed back to Wagga, and stopped at some petrol station. I swear Maddi was just about to be abducted by 3 dudes, it was gnarly. We also went past a 7 mile, 6 mile and 5 mile creek within 100 km of each other, i thought that was pretty funny. She smoked half a cigarette and was scared of me judging her, why do people really care about me judging them if they smoke? they should judge themselves, its their life addiction not mine haha... Keep it green. We got back to Wagga, stayed the night and in the morning scored the BEST mandarines ever, they ruled so much. Thanks Maddi's mum, your a legend. Then we carried on home, and about 2 hours into our trip i was not allowed to go to the toilet (to do literally the quickest most satisfying wee ever) because i would waste too much time. We met Maddi's sister at a macdonals at some place, which reminds me! We went to some rad markets, a two storey macdonalds and some super rad tabacconists where i brought a pipe. Ironically when we walked in cypress hill hits from the bong was playing. We continued a game spelling out the alphabet on number plates, every game of which i won. Then i think we hit Sydney followed by Newcastle! I think we were exposed to each other for too long, that is maybe why she doesn't talk to me anymore haha. oh well no point wasting my time on thinking what could of been right? You only live once and there are plenty of fish in this sea. Not my chair not my problem, thats what i say.
